Margaret S Cutter is a fine artist oil painter.  She has been a professional painter in watercolor and and now has returned to oils.  She received her art education at the Cleveland Institute of Art.  Margaret Cutter is a signature member of the Ohio Watercolor Society, a member of the Oil Painters of America, Ohio Plein Air Society and Low Country Plein Air Society.  The artist has exhibited in numerous galleries, museums, and exhibitions. Currently she is showing at the Lowcountry Artists Gallery in Charleston SC.

Whether painting in the studio or on location, she starts with the concept of the image.  Each painting is an emotional response to the scene.  The majority of the paintings do not exist in reality, but rather are composites of places visited and photographed by Margaret Cutter.  It may take a week or months to reach her goal, which is to find the soul of nature in each landscape painting.
